Live. Raw. Real. Every week in Harlem.

Welcome to the Atelier Harlem Pop-Up — a bold new performance series curated by Anthony Tidd, with a mission to bring improvised creative music of the African Diaspora back to the heart of Harlem.
Reminiscent of Harlem’s Great Renaissance a century ago, the series embodies a spirit of spontaneous development, workshop-like collaboration, and heightened creativity — where ideas are tested, boundaries are blurred, and new forms emerge in real time, with the audience as part of the process.

We use the PWYW model to promote a more equitable approach to audience access — ensuring that financial barriers don’t prevent anyone from experiencing this music in its most vital form. It also invites those with greater means to contribute at a level that feels right for them, helping sustain the artists and the community behind the work.
